Trent Preston Palacat Sr., 61, of Kailua-Kona died May 17 at home. Born in Kealakekua, he was a heavy equipment operator for Hawaiian Dredging, Isemoto Construction, West Hawaii Excavation and Goodfellow Brothers, supervisor for Aloha Contract Services, woodworker and artist. Yukiko Yamashita Uchida, 90, of Keaau died May 8 at home. Born in Olaa, she was retired from First Hawaiian Bank and a member of Puna Hongwanji Mission, Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Women’s Association and Keaau Village Association. Private services held. Stanley “Stan” Dionicio Viernes Sr., 78, of Waimea, died May 19 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired driver for Yamamoto Trucking Co., a former driver for Nordic Trucking in Honolulu, owner-operator of the former Aloha Shave Ice in Nanakuli, Oahu and U.S. Army veteran.
